ExposureU Track Spotlight: Kylee Burris Makes History at OSSAA State Championship

BROKEN BOW, OK — Some athletes compete. Others make history.

Broken Bow Lady Savage standout Kylee Burris (Class of 2028) did exactly that at the OSSAA State Track & Field Championship, delivering one of the most impressive performances in school history.

The sophomore sensation became the first Lady Savage athlete ever to break the 12-second barrier in the girls 100-meter dash, crossing the finish line in an incredible 11.94 seconds. The performance shattered the previous school record of 12.12 seconds, which had stood since 2012 and was held by Teanna Butler.

As if one record wasn't enough, Burris returned to the track and continued her dominance by posting a 24.40-second finish in the 200-meter dash, breaking her own school record and further cementing her place among Oklahoma's elite sprinters.
